Spring Phone Mount

This is a new phone mount for adjustable phones. The all-plastic mounting bracket is very easy to see from the product photos. The slim rubber boot is perfect for the smaller 25.4mm handlebar. Large 31.8mm may not need rubber bushings at all. The small nut should be glued on the mounting bracket, because it is easy to fall off and lost when removing the screw from the mounting bracket. But it's easy enough to thread and the nut stays in place. The mounting screw is too long as it protrudes an inch when tightened with your thumb. The phone holder simply slides over the mount until you hear a click. Press the 2 side tabs and the corners will be completely straight. Place your phone over the diamond shaped arm labeled FILEMON and the corner clips snap to grip the corners of your phone and settle down slightly at all corners. Once it's in place, you can loosen the knurled grip on the back to rotate the phone a full 360 degrees and tighten it again. The phone is securely fastened and there is no risk of it coming loose unless the rear handle or the mounting screw is loosened. To remove the phone, press the two side levers again. Something can go wrong here, because you have to hold the phone with the other hand so that it doesn't accidentally fall down. Other makes/models are under constant spring pressure and it only takes me one hand to lift and loosen the bottom bracket, pull the phone out and retract the clips. This design is my main issue with this phone mount as the spring action is fully open. Clips and depending on the position of the bike, mount and phone I don't want my expensive phone to fall off. The friction pad on the mount is not enough to hold the phone at an angle or upside down. Another option is to press the lever on the handlebar mount to remove the entire phone mount. But the phone holder stays on the phone. But it's better than my old chewing gum. I just have to be careful when I take out my phone.

Pros
  • 🚲 ONE SECOND ASSEMBLY AND ONE-HAND OPERATION: The bike phone holder has an innovative switch design that locks the telescopic clamp arm in one second, put your phone down and just press the middle button and the claws will automatically compress and seal. It's super convenient to use the phone even with one hand. It can be used not only on bicycles, but also in various situations such as motorcycles, road bikes, cross bikes, mountain bikes and sidecars.
