Very disappointed
This is not 304 stainless steel, not even a chance. They are extremely magnetic. Both 304 and 316 stainless steels are austenitic, so upon cooling the iron remains in the form of austenite (gamma iron), the non-magnetic phase of iron. . In other steel alloys, this high-temperature iron phase is transformed into a magnetic phase as the metal cools. So there's a chance it's a mix of alloy and stainless steel, but there's no chance it's 304 stainless steel.
