Shrinkage in the first wash will increase the size!
Good comfortable underwear for my 3 year old, loved the prints too! But they shrink after one wash, I wash in warm water and they shrink at least one size. So definitely one size bigger because of shrinkage after washing! My kid is 45lbs and wears 5T clothes and I'm a size 6-7 and they honestly almost wear a size up before I washed them and they shrunk.
