I got a Large and I'm normally a medium. I could have got a medium though because the material has a good stretch to it. Although I am happy with the size that I got. These are long I have to Cuff them so if you're over 5'4 you could wear these without a cuff I know it's difficult for tall girls to find stuff that isn't high waters on them. They are not solid black they do have some light worn black areas. Which is totally ok. Overall I do recommend because they just so flattering and comfortable.
