I love Contigo products!

I have had several Contigo products over the years and bought this one after a bad fall in a parking lot ripped the plastic cover from the predecessor and leaked. This is probably the most expensive mug I've ever bought. However, it's the first model with an all-stainless steel exterior construction (except for the recessed plastic panel), it has the easiest-to-clean lid and a drip-control mechanism, and it's the first model I'm confident in putting on the case. dishwasher shelf. In any case, it keeps food cold or hot for just as long as its predecessors. The only negative thing I can say about the design is the recessed outlet in the lid. While it's designed so that the opening is the lowest point in the lid, which is likely to ensure that after a sip, any leftover liquid drips back into the mug, the indentation is such that when you're probably using a small amount of coffee ( or any liquid you drink) into the cap and spill it on yourself if you're not careful. To combat this, you can use one of two approaches. Remember to press and hold the button on the side of the lid after using it in hopes that any remaining liquid will drip back into the cup, or create a "contigo sip", my name for the process of releasing the button and sipping the last of the liquid before placing it on the table. Unfortunately, while the former is the most polite, the latter tends to be the most efficient. For this reason alone I gave the product 4 stars. After weighing the pros and cons, I would still buy this product again as I like the look, size and performance much better than previous versions.

Pros
  • Sealing: Airtight travel mug thanks to AUTOSEAL lid
Cons
  • Legacy model
