Great construction including a great cable that plugs firmly into the USB3 ports. Macs have good read/write speeds of 530 and 460 MB/s respectively, but only as long as the SSD's fast cache buffer is free and "pre-erased" SSD storage is available. SSD cards cannot overwrite previously erased data unless that data was erased in a separate pass, with write speeds dropping to 6MB/s during pre-flushing. One day I found out about this unusual behavior (from everything I've been told, SSD). I was very happy with this 1TB device and I have 2 of them.
