. It took some minor modifications to accommodate the larger magnet on this subwoofer, but it fit together well and worked great as a replacement for an older unit. I was concerned about the power required to run this factory-boosted subwoofer, but it turned out not to be an issue when I powered up the system. I sold the Explorer anyway so I just wanted it to sound good and claim the factory features are still there and working fine. I love this sub. If I need an 8" subwoofer I would buy it again. I was impressed with the sound and performance of this unit.
