When I read the reviews, I was skeptical. I know JBL and their quality but this speaker is great! I've done many stereo setups, both professionally and personally, and this subwoofer really impresses. You will be very surprised that this is only an 8 inch subwoofer. I have paired it with a JBL GTO-5EV amp, 4 JBL GTO638 3 way door speakers and I have to say this together with the midrange and amp makes a very HIGH QUALITY combination. As mentioned in another review, you need to cut out the recessed part of the subwoofer box (at the back) to accommodate the depth of the new subwoofer.
