Review on Alphasonik NSW408 Neuron 400 Series: High-Powered 8 Inch Dual 4 Ohm Car Subwoofer with 750W Max Power and Superior Magnet Technology by Anthony Mangum

I didn't think it could sound as good as it sounds. I bought it as a replacement for the factory subwoofer in the Taurus SHO. I enlarged the hole in the plastic box, installed everything and everything was fine. I thought the speaker had exploded so I took it out and put it in another box and speaker. I found that the edge just needs to be re-glued. I did, put it in a ported box based on the specs and wow what a difference. This is a clean sound with no clipping when properly adjusted. The bass is very audible in the car where it matters. You don't hear much outside the car. There's also a good range of response from this thing. I ran a 500 watt amplifier at rated RMS for this subwoofer. You won't feel the punchy bass from this subwoofer, but you'll get extra bass to give you the full range. Make sure your levels aren't so high that clipping occurs. I had it there at some point when I got used to large subwoofers and retuned it.
