They're pretty big. My son is almost four years old (birthday in December) and we still have to tie his belt tightly to keep the shorts from falling off. He's a little short for his age, but not as short as those shorts make him look. Otherwise they are very well made. The fabric is thick and durable and holds up well to the wear and tear a preschool boy can handle. It actually looks like my 2.5 year old son will be able to wear them when he starts preschool next year and I'm thankful for that!
