Review on Manual Elective Impulse Sealer Replacement Guide by Rey High

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So glad I bought this. but he broke. and then.

I've had it for about a year now and have only used it to wrap a few holiday items. It has been minimally used, I take great care of it including keeping it in its original box with packing materials and "manual". The manual isn't well written, but good enough to understand what it's trying to say. Unfortunately, there are no troubleshooting steps. My problem is the sporadic heating. Thank god for YouTube! Thanks Troy Lerner for the repair demo! I can't link to his video, but it's titled "Fix Impulse Sealer Not Sealing Bags - USER'S MANUAL". I had to deduct a star for that; but otherwise it's a good investment if you don't mind a little renovation. The mechanism that activates the switch is too flexible and will eventually buckle away from the switch under pressure. As mentioned, I don't use mine very often, so it doesn't take me a lot of time or effort to bend them. It's either that or my superpowers are finally manifesting. at 49 years :)

Pros
  • The sealing process is simple: the operator places the bag on the sealing element and lowers the upper jaw, which activates the device. The sealing process ends quickly after the set sealing time has elapsed.
Cons
  • Functionality
