Review on πŸ’‘ Stunning 5 Light Chandelier: Design House 514455 Millbridge in Elegant Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish by Nicole Green

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Beautiful lamp, dirty finish

Bought to replace an existing dining room lamp. The old one only had 3 bulbs and they were pointing up towards the ceiling - as the only lighting in the room was too dim. It's hard to find a fixture that has the lights/spheres facing downwards while still maintaining something traditional/transitional (we're colonials and don't want to fit a harsh modern fixture in!). This device meets all requirements! Out of the box, the chandelier is good in itself, but the factory spray painting left a few lumps in the narrow parts of the curls - I had to carefully knock them off with a small screwdriver. Frosted glass balls are very beautiful and quite solid. It includes dimmable LED bulbs and looks good overall. My main criticism with the chain. Why, oh why can't you pre-cut the two links at the factory before painting them? The paint comes off the chain so easily when trying to open/close these links and the bottom link (connecting the chandelier to the rest of the chain) is clearly visible. No matter how hard we try and no matter how "soft" our fabric is, there is **no way** to open and close these connections without ruining the color. Luckily the chain was a bit longer than we needed and we happened to have some metallic oil bronze spray paint left over from a previous project. The actual wiring, glass attachment, etc. was very easy and I'm happy with the end result. I just wish the chain was easier to machine (or better painted).
