For the last 20 years I have used French Press exclusively for making coffee. Yes, I am a coffee snob. Also, I'm from a European country where babies are pretty used to black Turkish coffee (okay, I'm exaggerating, but not by much) so I'm more used to "kicking" than sad mugs of dirty rainwater - that is American drip "coffee". In that time I have tried many French presses and was still impressed when I received these, especially given the reasonable price. The antique copper looks very nice, it is solidly made and I have the impression that the glass is also a bit thicker than average. The extra filters and long copper stirring spoon are a very nice touch. Another clever thing I wish there were more in French presses is that there is an arrow on the lid showing where the screen is so you can easily see which direction to press. twist it when ready to pour. Hooray!
