I have a ball python and I just needed something to keep his terrarium at the right humidity level. I bought one of these humidifiers a while ago and it worked for maybe a couple of weeks. I sent it back and got a replacement and mine broke after a few weeks too. What seems to be happening is that it penetrates and damages the underlying electrical parts. When you try to turn on the device, the green indicator does not light up. I even took the bottom white piece and shook it and you could hear the water splashing. If you want something long-term, get a higher quality humidifier, which may mean spending a little more.
