SUMMARYThis smart outlet extender functions as expected. It is an economical way to start adding a few appliances to a home to act in a smart manner, such as a light and a fan, if you do not have a full light / smart plug bridge solution. I had no issues with the Smart Life app to control the outlet from my phone and the outlet integrated easily with Alexa using Alexa Skills.The product will cover an entire outlet and has an optional plastic ground plug to support its placement in the second plug of the outlet. There is an led light next to each outlet on the device to show that it has power.You will likely need to setup your router to broadcast a separate 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi signal/ID, as Smart Life App/Outlet would not connect with my Dual Band 2.4/5Ghz router setup.
