I had this product in my truck but never used it until I needed it (suggest you try before you get into a situation like this!). When the time came, my girlfriend got stuck in about 2 1/2 feet of off-road snow. I pulled out my traction boards and pulled out this tire deflator kit. I read the instructions that came with it and at 10 degrees Fahrenheit I was able to deflate all 4 tires to the correct PSI to start using the traction boards in about 5 minutes. I would say if I knew exactly what I was doing beforehand it would take about 20-30 seconds per tire to depressurize from 36psi to 18psi. Keep in mind this is on 31" tires so your mileage may vary. This tool significantly increases the pressure of the air coming out of the tire, it sounds like you are connecting an air hose to a compressor. I would definitely recommend it as it saved me in a very difficult situation for off-road adventures this time and many times in the future.
