For $20 this thing does what you need. 3 color modes are convenient. 10 levels of brightness for each provide enough adjustment to meet your needs. Even the included tripod serves its purpose. BUT the main shaft of the tripod is wedged. That means you can't turn on the ring light without rotating the entire tripod. Diluting and rotating the light above makes your azimuth(?) setting useless because it's tilted at an angle. I know it sounds silly but sometimes you want to rotate the ring but there isn't enough room to rotate the entire tripod when it's packed behind a computer monitor. In any case, there is only one downside. But for $20? Uh, I'll live with that.
