My Isuzu NPR and Chevy W4500 have always had ACDelco pads. I found Wagner a good brand. I figured for half the price ACDelco was worth a try. The rider complained that they didn't stop as well as the ACDelco pads and overheated easily. I gave them a week and 400 miles. They didn't get any better. I myself have driven a truck down the same 1/4 mile hill we drive every day with no evidence of braking problems on the ACDelco pads. When we get to the bottom of the hill, you can smell the burning Wagner brake pads. While they don't overheat to the point of brake failure, they never hook up well initially.
