I rent cars for work almost weekly. I like this thing because every rental car usually has a spot on the dash where I can press a ring to hold my phone. I would say that about 85% of the cars I rent have an air vent or CD slot that you can insert a ring in or secure. I would never leave the house without this thing on the back of my phone case (I use Gorilla Glue to keep it in place). The rubber silicone sleeve over the metal ring keeps it securely in/on the vent.
