Silicone skin slips on and fits the camera like a glove. It protects the camera body. After over 6 months of use, the camera still looks brand new because of the protection. However, since it is black, it absorbs heat and causes the camera to overheat. In summer, the camera is often switched off because the temperature is too high. Although the actual temperature is only 90 degrees Fahrenheit, the camera temperature is closer to 130 degrees Fahrenheit because of the skin. Not too happy with it and wish another company would make better skins and different colors. There is a third-party skin for Arlo in brown that might suit some houses better.
