Review on ♟️ Magnetic Travel Chess Set with Checkbook Feature by David Finley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inexpensive and space-saving; Made in China.

For a tiny pocket chess that you can take anywhere, it's great. I can leave it in my car and never have to think, 'Oh, chess player. Too bad we don't have chess nearby." It's also handy when I want to learn some chess tactics without having to pull out a standard sized board and set up the pieces. According to the seller's description, they were found to be inexpensive, compact and lightweight Solution intended to teach chess to a certain class of people, it even has the ah and 1-8 chess symbols on both sides, very convenient for permanent personal use, the magnetic parts stay attached to the board even when folded and the whole To be carried around day to day but as a 'travel' set their purpose should be nothing special other than to give you the convenience of speed dialing. It can be considered a bit of a hassle to break or slip the pieces but it's better than the inconvenience of not being able to play in situations without a stable surface to place the board on a mark to remind you that the pieces can be played as checkers, a fantastic idea, four stars because the whole thing is made of plastic with a strong chemical odor (not characteristic of such plastic). Over time it will fade and absorb odors around you, but it can be initially irritating for those with chemical sensitivities or a strong sense of smell. Also, it's made in China.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good
