I ordered this for my Softail Deluxe and ordered XXL as my bike has a full windshield and it goes great with the extra space it has from the shield to the Bags covers tires I can't say anything about rain protection because the bike is under a canopy, also no idea about rain protection. He kept it clean and protected. It has two straps one at the front and one at the back, big holes to attach the lock to the bike and it also comes with an extra strap to wrap around the bike, good product, would definitely recommend.
