They will last a long time if you don't light the food you cook with it and then wash it. In fact, we just put them in the sink and fill them with water until it's time to do the dishes. A little soap and a sponge will clean it all up (if something really sticks). We've started cooking vegetables and some steaks in addition to fish, and have found that these dishes are easier to prepare when you don't have to worry about them falling through the grate. But perhaps most importantly, it's far better than aluminum foil when you don't want to wrap your food (such as when steaming fish) as there's no risk of the foil ripping or tearing when you move things (even if they're slightly glue). A neighbor gave us one of these and we liked it so much we ordered a few more. However, most of the stack is still in the closet as we're still trying to wear down the first one. Looks like we have everything we will need for years to come.
