My six year old is learning to play checkers and this is such a great setup. He's handsome and tall, so he can clearly see all sorts of moves he can make. And his younger brother loves to watch and learn by observation. As for the big maps, they're more for fun and not very practical for my boys at the moment. They are a bit more difficult to keep and manage. My 5 year old gets a bit frustrated trying to "just like that" organize his games when they are so big. But still. We laughed a lot when we first opened them. They're dumb enough to play with a deck this size, so I'll still give it 5 stars.
