This mug holds 12 oz to the brim. It is listed as 18 oz. in the MFG catalog but I was trying to pour 18 oz from a measuring cup and 12 oz. was on the edge. I would prefer 18 ounces. a cup and I have no idea why they claim it's 18 ounces. (unless it was in a kiln before drying, like lumber :). It's also heavier when empty than any of my other full cups. (I'm not kidding) That's a heavy mug. Although I like it: the style and color are simple and attractive. I only wish it actually held 18 ounces. coffee/tea instead of 12 oz. or they just said it in the description. I also really want you to be able to take manufacturers at their word and not check everything you buy to let other people know the manufacturer's claims are correct.
