I have been using this scanner for several years and it works very well but I have some complaints about it. First, I find it overly sensitive to the tiniest bumps on the leading edge of the document you're feeding. It tends to freeze easily, preventing the document from feeding. To prevent this, you need to make sure that the pasted edge is smooth. My previous Brother handheld scanner I had before was much more forgiving. The location of the USB port is also bad on the Visioneer. It is located just below the feeder exit, which sometimes causes documents to become tangled in the USB cable. The connection port should be a few inches to the right of where you see it in the image above. Again, my previous Brother scanner didn't have this design flaw. Because of both of these issues, once this one dies, I won't be buying another Visioneer unless they at least remake it with a USB port in a better place.
