Review on Gamepad Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, black by Agata Asztemborska ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not a bad product, nothing extraordinary.

I have been using the First Elite ever since it was released, and I currently own several of them. With the exception of the sticks, I like everything about it—excellent assembly, excellent quality, etc. On the other hand, the sticks pass away predictably every few months. When the second edition was out, I had the feeling that this must be it! In the end, T-shirts will be the answer to all your worries. In point of fact, the sticks are beyond praise in terms of their dependability, accuracy with regard to tightening changes, and inability to break. But everything else is purgatory in some form or another. The buttons cease working fairly immediately, and in a haphazard manner, they don't operate either on the bumpers or on the main buttons; the bottom of the cross is a separate bottom. The only way to get it working again once it has stopped due to skew is to tap the gamepad on the table, which is the only time it happens. I was considering the fact that I found such a copy and purchased a second one, and both of them are exactly the same. The customer can send their controllers in to be repaired by technical assistance, however after reading the evaluations, I discovered that this doesn't really make much sense. We are currently awaiting the third version, and in the meanwhile, my fingers are crossed that the T-shirts will either switch the manufacturer from whence they source their components or at the very least start installing components from the earlier version. It's unfortunate that this had to take place.

Pros
  • Assembly, Ergonomics, Equipment
Cons
  • The components' poor quality and the highly dirtyable nature of the plastic
