it works well and i would benefit from using it at my desk with headphones. This is the perfect application for that. I tested it in the garage this summer while I was working there and it really didn't have enough power to do anything. It's not too loud on lower settings, but for me personally on level 3, I couldn't sleep with the noise. A good product. I like that I can plug it in or use the battery. universal product
