Review on Angle Tip Relay Plier OTC 4493 by Lild Zimmerly

and perfectly matches the style of other OTC I pliers.

This order came with a blue handle as pictured and is a perfect match in style with other OTC pliers I own. The vinyl coating on the tips has proven to be quite durable after some use and seems to hold up over time. The tips are shaped like a "V" in length. For square relays, they are best used by gripping the flat surfaces of the relay cube rather than gripping the "V" shaped corners. The tips stick parallel to the surface and the vinyl has a good grip to pull the thrust relays. For smaller rectangular relays, grabbing the corners diagonally works best, as the corners go into the "V" of the tips for better contact. So far I've found the angular shape of this tool to be great for joining blocks with access. The angle works very well, pulling the relays and square turn signals out of the limited access junction boxes in the dash area. Yes, you can pull these relays and turn signals out with pliers, but they fit into the "cubes" in tighter places, have a good grip, and won't nick, scuff, or stain.
