I used it for the first time yesterday on a long trip to the beach and it worked perfectly. My saddle stayed in place and on the pad and didn't slide forward or backward. I received the blue pickguard with a yellow border and it is very pretty. I received a few compliments on his good looks and questions about where I got him from. I particularly like the insulated pockets to fit my GPS (for trips into unfamiliar territory) as well as a cold drink/bottle of whatever and lunch for those long journeys. Update: My girlfriend liked my rug so much that I bought her a black one too. It is very pretty with yellow piping and goes very well with her saddle. To my surprise, the feed is now her favorite and she uses it every time she rides, although she has several European feeds that she once thought were the best. Group everywhere so your saddle is always properly seated and your horse's back is properly covered. I've used my rug a lot and it was surprisingly clean, but it's almost time to wash it so we'll see how it looks and fits after it hasn't been washed. Update: The mat was very dirty after two months of driving, but it washed out easier than expected and looks great again.
