Purchased specifically to fill LARGE hummingbird feeders. They have very small holes where you need to carefully pour sugar water. PROBLEM: The tip of the pouring spout sits right on top of the jug, so once it's tilted far enough to drain, gooey bird syrup begins to flow not only out of the spout, but around a large area of the rim of the jug. Just as much flows outside as inside. With a big, heavy old Pyrex glass measuring cup, I didn't have this problem. Also, the oval shape is great. Makes reading numbers much easier.
