so version 3 had really smooth hard cleats for the top 2 which made them easy to tighten and I had no problem loosening them. This version got rid of those that make tightening and loosening difficult when you flip the top over to get a lock. Also they changed the traction of the outsole which is better for traction but more uncomfortable on the road and I think it will wear out quicker.
