They're not bad for the price, but you have to lower your expectations. Here's my problem with shoes: I have a wide foot. The first thing I do when buying sneakers/tennis shoes is loosen the tongue and laces to make room for the width. The problem with these shoes is that the tongue is sewn into the boot so you can't do that at all. The width of this shoe does not change. Another thing I found odd was how light the gold stripe on my boot turned out. You can see your reflection in these things. I think I didn't look closely enough at the picture because these things shine way brighter than I expected, so be careful. What I love about these shoes is their back. Like I said, they're too tight for me, but they have a long piece of stretch material in the back that works like a built-in shoehorn, making the foot glide much easier. In terms of durability we have yet to see but overall I'm still very happy with these shoes. One last thing, I see a lot of reviewers here advising everyone to go down a size: DON'T. I usually wear 10 1/2. I bought a size 11 to be on the safe side and they are still very tight and difficult to put on. Looking back at many of these reviewers encouraging people to go down a size, it was mostly women. These are men's shoes. Not sure if they missed it in the description or what but please don't order down. when you order.
