WARNING! There are two versions of this product. They are the same , except the v2 version opens further and fits the iPad Pro They sent me the wrong version and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working until I called support and they confirmed they had sent me the old version ...and Octa's support team answered the phone perfectly and agreed to exchange the product immediately.They sent a new version the next day.Aside from the wrong product,the mount itself is amazing!Well built,strong and sturdy.Leaves easily attaches to anything Used with iPad Pro, Air, and Kindle tablets The missing star is for the iPad Pro, which I originally bought it for The spider clip opens just far enough to slide the clip down over the iPad Pro to secure it. It doesn't open fast enough to just wrap around and squeeze. He probably needs another 1/2 inch wide. And it sure doesn't fit in a case, so I have to get the silicone case I use from time to time to use it. If you have a tablet smaller than 12 inches this will work amazingly. works well if you're willing to accept that it takes a little longer to mount and unmount.
