I will use this with this product (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PUY8NAU/ref =cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2) , HyperDrive microSD - Adapter for MacBook Pro 15 inch Retina. Everything fits and works as you might think, but streaming video from this card to the MBP's internal display is very difficult; and I have the best 15 inch MPB for my model year. Both video and audio played from this card stuttered and stopped. Nothing I did was affecting performance, and it had to be the card I was doing it with. I would buy a card like this again. It's a decent card, but I had to rethink my storage strategy for my MBP. I was planning on putting photos, iTunes media and documents on this thing. Since OneDrive for Mac doesn't sync to an SD card, and streaming video (my main content from iTunes) plays correctly from that card, I've had to limit myself to images.
