Review on πŸ” Enhanced Lensball Stand: Suction Mount with Flat Base and Tripod Screw Thread by Antonio Bacon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Adequate but not very stable on a tripod. BUT. I came up with a packaging hack.

This works as expected, but I didn't realize it was quite small. Easily attaches to a tripod. UPDATE: There is a great way to keep the ball steady for taking photos. You need a quick release for the tripod head. Take the package that came with the ball lens stand and insert it into the clip, just like you insert a quick release plate and tighten the clip. The styrofoam holds the ball in place, and you can mount the quick release clamp to a small tripod or gorilla pod. It's much stronger than the stand. I've already got one shot on the glass because I trusted the post to hold the ball. It's not a huge ball, but it's not small either. Luckily I wasn't too far off the ground so it's just a small tear. It will not affect photos as long as this page is down. I hope you enjoyed my hack for this crystal ball!

Pros
  • MODERN DESIGN. The base of the stand is made of anodized aluminum, which is known for its sturdiness and easy cleaning.
Cons
  • Requires socket
