Review on πŸ”‘ Honda Key Fob Shell Case Replacement: Accord, Civic Ex, Pilot - with Screwdriver by Jonathan Brendemuehl

Exact replacement of the factory key shell for my Honda

Exactly as shown in the ad, perfect replacement. The hardest part was getting the key shank out of the old case. I think my original key must have been glued in because of all the cracks and damage it has seen since 2009. I had to get creative with the pliers, but that's not a downside to this product. This product was fantastic. Getting the key into the key fob body is a little tricky, you take the metal shank of the key, stick it in the little black part (obviously which part) then point it in the right direction and it goes against the back and slides then down to the key side. I'm bad at describing, but don't force it like I almost did. When you find the right way to move it, simply snap it into place, snaps in half, then insert your electronic bit and screw the two halves together, then use the screw provided to secure it. You can also use a part number sticker if you wish, but you will need to carefully remove the Honda logo from the old key fob and insert it into the indentation on the back of this replacement. But when it's done it looks factory, I love it. PRO: Perfect replacement, relatively easy to switch to a new key fob. I was done in minutes. Item arrived overnight. CONS: Instructions aren't included with the item, so you'll either have to figure it out or be in front of a computer to find instructions. If you have a damaged/broken Honda key fob, I highly recommend this item and seller.
