I bought this vacuum cleaner about 30 years ago. I recently added velcro straps to hold the dust box. The latch no longer held and the dust collector fell off a couple of times. The handle wobbled; it didn't fit right anymore, but I loved this little vacuum cleaner. It only came with a dust filter but it was easy to clean and the same one from about 30 years ago was still in great condition. We have railings on the back porch. This little vacuum did a great job cleaning as well as any quick clean around the house. Then I picked it up by the handle without the dust collector, and the base broke off at the handle. I decided it was beyond repair and bought a new battery powered vacuum. I've looked and looked, but the suction power of a cordless vacuum cleaner doesn't even come close to matching this one. I also wanted a vacuum with an optional carpet brush. Bought the same vacuum cleaner again. Now he's red. My old one was blue. There were 2 filters. I also saved the old filter so now I have 3. I don't have to wait for the filter to dry to use it again. Yes, you have to plug it in, but it comes with a very long cable. This has an even stronger suction power than my old one. In addition, it is light and not expensive. I love it!
