I bought these to give trick or treating gifts on Halloween - I don't like giving candy. They had great success. But I only had about a dozen kids. We went camping and my kids loved them. I hung them next to the bunk beds and they lit up the room all night. This photo was taken the next night when they were 24 hours old. They were dark, but they were enough so that the children weren't afraid of the dark. I didn't have to activate any new ones the next night.
