I don't know why people are complaining about the color variation. It's clear what they're doing. The bow tie fastens with the top button of the collar. I stroked my son's bow tie with my flat iron. The material of the shirt corresponds to that of activewear. He is skinny. This worked great because we live in sunny San Diego and it's really hot and muggy right now. This shirt and bow tie are perfect for the active five year old who wants to look pretty on that special hot day.
