It comes flat and all it takes to complete it is reattach the bottom. The lid is easy to open and close, and the flap has a Velcro closure. The sides are sturdy enough to hold their shape even when filled with toys. The box is small but great for small toy collections. There are handles at the ends. The upside is that there are so many designs to choose from. The toy chest is inexpensive and one of the best I know. I can recommend this one.
