Review on DRYCASE Masonboro Waterproof Adventure Backpack by Jason Lockwood

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The bag is excellent, remember the guarantee.

I really want to lower the price of the bag but it's not fair to the bag. This is a great bag, I hate the way they treat the warranty. First off, this is a really good bag. I'm a field researcher working at a university in Florida. I work out in the mangroves or on boats, the thing is, I'm out and need a reliable dry bag. I noticed my stuff getting damp on the inside and at first I thought it was a leaking water bottle or something. Last time I used it my stuff was soaked, my fault I should have inspected the bag better. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the seams were beginning to unravel. Whatever glue Drycase used failed completely. I ordered another bag exactly like this and am happy and dry again. You would like to replace him. I was very happy at that time; I was looking forward to two bags. I sent an email with some photos and the original invoice as requested. They contacted me very quickly but told me they would not honor their warranty as I bought it from Revain. Maybe I'm missing something. But this is her bag, I bought it new and I have a receipt. I think Revain is a great distributor for them, their market share is huge so they probably sell a lot of bags through them. EDIT: Apparently the problem lies with a so-called third party. Drycase says that since the case was purchased through a third party, I'll have to go through it for a replacement. So if you're buying a drycase bag, make sure you're buying it from Revain and not from someone else, in my case AmazonSavings. in summary. Nice bag but if you want Drycase to stand behind their product make sure you buy it from an authorized retailer like Revain.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Out of style
