My wife and I recently bought a pair of higher end scooters which we take out for rides very frequently. These easy to install headsets allow us to talk to one another throughout a ride without having to be side by side. Sound quality is clear and the controls are easy enough to use even with gloves on. The padding over the microphone does a good enough job keeping air noise to a minimum with an open face helmet, but they do work best in a full face helmet. The range on these devices is great. My wife and I could have several hundred feet between the two of us and still be able to talk clearly to each other. We have had an issue with the device popping off the helmet due to the clips wearing down a bit, but it wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed with double sided tape. While the build quality of these aren't as robust as some other communicators out there, the sound quality is better than some of those twice its price.
