Cartridges work very well. My only complaint is that the cartridge doesn't hold too much ink at the expense of the cost of the cartridges. When I replace a cartridge with a new one, my printer goes through a cleaning routine that uses 1/3 of the ink before I start printing. Of course not. Problem with the cartridge roller. I just think the price is at least 15% high
