I originally had a Sigma 15-30 and sent it in for service and was offered several replacement options as it was past its useful life but none of them seemed attractive to me. I managed to get Sigma to offer me a kind of 20mm f/1.4 lens as an upgrade at a fantastic price, so I took it. I had the lens for about a month and took it on a trip to Banff and Jasper. In Canada. I dropped my Sigma 24-105 f/4 Art lens and smashed it so I had to shoot at 20mm and I have to say I'm very happy with the result. The images are very clear, even in the corners. Thanks to the large aperture, I was also able to take good hand-held photographs in the evening. Haven't had a chance to use this lens for astrophotography, but will be traveling to Moab, Utah later this month and will update the review then.
