Instructions require serious work. Apparently there are tutorial videos on YouTube. You have to slide the top back to reveal the buttons. Only 2 works, forward and to the right (which turns in a tight circle). Mine works on channel "A". You said to review each channel (slider on the side) before rejecting it. Got a replacement because the first remote didn't sync! They were more than happy to send. 5/5 for customer service! If something is interfering with the signal, it's not working well. My cats like to play with it. The paws are moving. The light doesn't bother me as I got it as a teaser for my cats. I read that you can take it apart and take out the light. The mistake is huge. You need to be about a foot away to start it. It can roll off the carpet onto the floor. But I don't think he can go back to our carpet. In general it works. I wish the signal wasn't blocked so easily. I don't see it for very long. But for my needs it works.
