I read many reviews on several cases before purchasing this one. I was concerned that this one doesn't have a strap or loop to hold it in place and that everyone is complaining that the magnet doesn't keep it closed. I also wanted to make sure the part holding the phone is solid because my last one fell apart a bit. Someone said that the phone holder in this case is made of soft molded rubber, so I decided to buy it. You were right, it's a nice, thick, molded rubber case that holds the phone securely and offers protection. I dropped my phone twice - once face down - no problem. Magnet. As mentioned elsewhere, put a credit card in the case and it doesn't close with a magnet. Big thing. How many times do you hold your phone without your own fingers holding it closed? And if you simply lower the case, the lid stays closed. Not that it opens. The magnet holds the case very well when it is in the "open" position (when you are on or using your phone). No strap. I needed a strap on my old one because I needed the lid to stay closed in case I should drop it because the phone holder part was crap. It's not shit in this case. I don't need a zipper. So the lack of a strap doesn't bother me. BUT, if you need a strap, just make a hole and put the strap on. The leather is high-quality and additionally lined so that it does not tear. My only complaint: I wish it was Italian leather soaked in brown oil. One that shows signs of wear. I like this look much better.
