At first glance the Stinger darts that can be made are really too light. I don't need stinger darts and stun darts are a bit light. Bamboo darts are good, but too small for practical use. On the other hand, the pack contains raw materials that can be used to craft really useful Cold Steel .625 caliber blowgun darts. Cold Steel's tranquilizer darts were originally one-piece, smooth-tipped darts that I have used successfully to stun/kill star-sized mice and birds, and chase medium-sized animals out of my yard without permanently damaging the medium-sized animals. Cold Steel's replacement tranquilizer darts come in two pieces that are fragile and have sharp edges that can damage the skin of medium-sized vermin you don't want to kill. The Black Rhino .625 kit includes cones that fit perfectly into the cold steel hole, while the bamboo stick and 16mm (silicone molded) hot glue bead provide the end result of a replacement for the original tranquilizer darts. Here in the US, Black Rhino offers .625 pre-made cones for those who want to make their own darts. Additionally, with Cold Steel ownership changes and supply disruptions, sources of Cold Steel darts have dried up in some areas. I wouldn't mind if Black Rhino only sold the cones they offer in this pack.
