These are my second pair of Crocs Yukon and I can tell you they are strong. I took my first pair on a hike and crossed the Kern River about two dozen times. I took off my Lowa Renegades and roamed the rocks in my Yukons. Straps are strong. Sometimes I just walked my Yukons for miles. They are lighter than most water boots and offer better protection for your feet. The new version feels a little loose at the same size and the upper is stitched differently without the vents in the leather like my old Yukons. But I am very happy with them as I think crocs shrink a bit over time and they definitely shrink from being in the sun so don't do that. BTW, my old Yukons are still good except for the fact that I spilled paint on them. So yeah, they look cool, but who cares? This is the Subaru Forester among sneakers. rick
