This is the perfect size for most kitchen chores

This is the perfect size for most kitchen chores. I have several other Victorinox knives. i love them all I first heard about this line of knives at America's Test Kitchen. In fact, I was initially very skeptical that this line of knives got the best of them. Over the years I have bought many knives of different quality. I have Shun, Henkel, Global and New West knives. I loved most of them. I seem to have a favorite in every line. We keep them sharp. My husband is just as picky as I am when it comes to good sharp knives. In December, a friend gave me a 4 inch serrated knife and a 3 inch knife for my birthday. They were so sharp it was easy to cut almost anything. The only limitation was the size of the food. I liked the knives so much that I bought a 6" and an 8" chef's knife. I love everyone for different reasons. A warning: there will be many small cuts on your fingers. No matter how careful I was, I still got lacerations. I even cut my wrist once when I dropped a knife while drying myself. It was the worst. In the first month I wore a lot of patches. My sister claimed it was because I wasn't an experienced cook! Well, I bought her three knives for Christmas. Even she sustained a few cuts in the first month. So I recently bought a few more sets as birthday gifts for family and friends. That's when I saw the 5-inch Victorinox chef's knife. I have never come across this size in all my research. When I saw it I wanted to try it. Now my husband and I fight about him every night. We decided we needed a second one to solve this dilemma. I still use other brands of knives, but not as often.
